At Gold & Mart, we have a tradition of excellence. Coin dealer, Scott Gilbert, began collecting coins when he was only nine years old. His passion for the trade grew over the years and in the 1980s, he took classes at the American Numismatic Association in Colorado Springs, CO. It was there that he discovered his talent for both gold and coin studies. He attended three intensive summer seminar sessions and studied U.S. gold and silver coins as well as commemoratives with noted numismatic experts, including 20th century gold specialist and author Mike Fuljenz, silver dollar expert John Highfill and commemoratives authority Steele Eunson.

Following his studies, Scott worked for a major coin dealer, learning the practices and developing his trade. Finally, in 2012, he opened his own coin store in Georgetown, TX. At Gold & Coin Mart, Scott continues the traditions passed down to him by his mentors.
